Though these two languages are related, you can see that the modern versions are very different from each other.  The Nómah version is unrevised; changes have been made since I posted the conlang outline and translation challenge a while ago.

*Edit: Nómah has undergone some spelling and grammar revision, so here's what this looks like now.  Not too different, but a bit.

As a side note, while these are both new and old versions of the verses, they are also translations of newer and older versions in English.  While I didn't write down which versions I used, the older one looks like it's probably King James, and the newer is probably NIV.  But I'm not sure.

This would be in Usjytt/Labä dialect, or what could be called the "standard" dialect.  It includes verb infixes I don't think I've mentioned anywhere, and I think noun-adjective number agreement was a bit neglected.  At least, it doesn't look like I paid it any mind... it could be there just wasn't any need for it.
Just a little something to pass the time. I thought it would be interesting to compare the new and old examples I had, and I might revise this later and add the other hemnalg dialects as well, and fix nomah. For hemnalg in particular, terms like "bricks" and the idea of God and dispersal over the world are either unfamiliar or specialized to pre-existing religion, and the terms I've used lend potentially misleading nuances. But, just as we have a preconceived idea of what a brick is, so would the native speakers of these languages have ideas of what would be appropriate in the passage.

Questions, comments, and feedback are welcome and appreciated.

*Edit: I said it up there in the text, but the edit was adding a revised version of Nůmah, as I've been working on it a bit and some things changed.

Woah! You completely turned around some of your languages! Did you completely remake them then?
I've had thoughts of starting from scratch with Hseishch too just so its more organized and such.
I'd keep Shchngei though of course. :P

Haha, getting rid of Shchngei would be sacrilege. XD

Yeah, I first came up with the languages when I was like 13 and didn't really know what I was doing, and then as the history of my worlds developed and I got into linguistics I thought I'd better give everything a face-lift. The biggest change in ddamychal was the spelling, but that is perhaps also the most noticeable change. ^^

Definitely! XD

Yeah, according to my Conlang book it was started when I was 15, and I knew absolutely nothing then.
My conworld however is 5 years old now. My goodness. o-o
Which must be why my planet system is impossibly implausible. :(

Where do you keep your conlang/conworld stuff?

All over the place. D: Notebooks, scraps of paper, my external drives, various places online... I wrote a note on a scrap of cloth once too, and an eraser.

Part of the fun of making a conworld is implausibility! And if it's really out there, you can always blame it on magic, if available. ^^ It's fun to see how stuff changes over time, huh?

Right! I remember you saying that! The scrap of cloth. Hehe, wonderful. :P
The eraser I didn't know about. The most outlandish thing I ever wrote on was
my hand I believe. SO many notes get on my hand in a day. XD

It's true. But I don't think magic could help this one, as it involves the
whole galaxy and such. It's part of the culture though, so I don't plan on changing it.

My crew leader writes on his sleeves when he doesn't have anything else, haha. The eraser was rather recent, and it was a short note.

So are you using our galaxy? And our solar system? No alternate universe stuff or anything?

Dang, good for him. Haha. XD

Yeah, that was the plan. Oh, not our solar system.
Kepa has 3 suns and that's what makes it complicated. o-o

Wow, three? The orbit would need to be HUGE to keep Kepa from burning up... Unless the suns are far enough apart that Kepa gets pulled into each orbit one by one, which certainly would be an amazing feat.
